Anyone making art for the wizarding world? I have some projects I've been working on and want to know what folks are doing, and whether there is any interest in it.

Oh, the interest is there. But unfortunately the credit card isn't. At least not this month. Maybe next month I'll earn more so I can spend more.

The exterior of the train looks good. The interior of the cars is coming along.

Thats really looking great...
will it be a full train car? with restroom at one end and conductors room/post room?
I know you were working on the train bridge and aqueduct, cannot wait to see how that all works together.
Would you be interested in making a Hogsmeade like town?
Shrieking Shack?
Knockturn Alley, and Diagon Alley?
*grin*

Oh that's looking REALLY nice already. You do know that it would do well with the steampunk folk too, right? We love trains.

The train consists of engine, tender, and passenger cars. The passenger cars have low-res interiors for long shots and the option of inserting this highly detailed interior in one of the compartments for close up rendering. The train cars fit the tracks on the terrain and viaduct and it is all scaled properly. I haven't found a practical way to animate the train along the track so that will be up to the individual artist. I will probably have two differnt environment sphere light sets, one nice day and one rainy, spooky night set.
Last night I made a set of interior lights for the compartment that use the inverse square falloff shader by Bagginsbill over at Renderosity, and applied Bantha's gamma correcting shader to the interior materials. I really like the result.
At the moment I'm detailing the compartment with window shades and nicer door hardware. I'll post a render later if anyone is around.

Oh yes, please do. More motivation for me to get my sales up so that I can afford that.

Here are a couple of new renders for you. This weekend I'm fine-tuning the detailed cabin geometry and working on the shaders for it.
